Community Engagement
TAP’s social thanking platform is a positive force for good.
Not only does it directly support staff well-being through the power of gratitude, it also provides a safe and secure environment for members of the public to engage online. All content is moderated to ensure only positive messages are shared in order to further encourage community engagement.
Keyworkers in Education, Healthcare and Social Care ensure that our communities flourish and prosper and yet it’s all too easy for our busy lives to get in the way of saying thank you. You’re not alone. In a survey which TAP carried out, 70% of people who described themselves as natural thankers, said that they didn’t always get a chance to say thank you.
This can be for a range of reasons, from not having the time, not knowing who specifically to thank, not having the right contact details or simply not knowing the correct protocol for thanking someone working in an education or care setting.
Well, that’s why TAP was created in the first place. To make it easier to pass on your thanks, quickly, easily and securely. Whether that’s saying thank you to your child’s teacher, your local GP or your parent’s social care worker.
Giving thanks also benefits the recipient and the thanker in equal measures. It’s been established that those who show higher levels of gratefulness are more likely to “be empathic, forgiving, helpful and supportive, than those who are less grateful.” (Craig, 2021)
